Actor

Ally is a writer, director, producer and actor from Manitoba. She received a degree in Theatre from The University of Winnipeg and now runs a production company in Calgary, Out Of Our Heads. Ally gives humorous and inspiring speeches and talks about using positivity and humor to get through all life’s challenges.

Amy Cowley (She / Her)
Actor

Amy made her stage debut with Sundog and has retuned for many shows since. In 2024 at the Halloween Showcase, she played a young woman seeking guidance from a psychic. She returned to place Skye, a reluctant influencer in On Air. And in 2025 Amy was cast as the villain, Alice in Down the Rabbithole.

Carmella Swift (She / They)
Actor

As a young actor, Carmella brings her boundless energy and enthusiasm to the stage. She played a teenager from the 1990s in Mudflap Girl’s premier performance and joined the show when it hit the road to play in High River. In 2024 Carmella joined the cast of the 2024 Halloween Showcase as a passionate social justice warrior.

Carolyn Wright-Stronski (She/Her)
Actor, Director & Writer

Carolyn has played multiple roles in Sundog’s shows including a nurse with shifting perspectives in Frank and a quilter with a secret past in Georgia. In 2022 she premiered as a playwright with Lollipop Anyone?, a comedy about a seniors seeking lasting relationships. She also made her directorial debut with two shows in 2024.

Cynthia brought enthusiasm and joy to her role as The Patron in the first production of 398.2: A Modern Fairytale at the One Act Play Festival in Pumphouse Theatre in 2022.

Dianna Campbell-Smith (She/Her)
Actor

Dianna drew upon her comedy skills to play a silent kleptomaniac with a dark past in Frank, a quilter with deep secrets in Georgia, and a therapist to a lonely spirit in Ghosts Ghosting Ghosts. In her spare time, she is also a jewellery designer and artist.

Donna Della Rosa (She / Her)
Actor

Donna made her stage debut in FLC’s production of Lost & Found: Beth’s Discovery. She is returning the the stage in Febrauray 2025 with a role in Sundog’s production of the Widowmaker, a Valentine’s Day showcase.

Dustin Nelson (He / Him)
Actor

Dustin has developed a career on stage and screen. He played Leo, the main character in Georgia, a prisoner winding up a long sentence. His character finds unexpected acceptance and redemption.

Evangeline Mably (She/Her)
Actor & Singer

Most of the year, Evangeline teaches Music and French but during the summer, she puts her skills and talents into performance! Evangeline brought her enthusiasm to play The Librarian in 398.2, a psychic in the 2024 Halloween Showcase, and the lead in Alice in Wonderland.

Faye Brown (She / Her)
Actor, Clown, Drama Coach, & Writer

Faye played the comedic Clarissa in Frank, the nervous Mouse in Alice, and an enthusiastic Zombie in the 2024 Halloween Showcase. Her dramatic skills shone as Miriam in Georgia and as a narrator in Acts & Arts 2024. Faye is a retired teacher who taught children with special needs.

Giselle Morison (She / Her)
Actor, Dancer & Writer

Multitalented Giselle has trained in many types of dance including ballet, jazz and contemporary. She played a young woman exploring body image in Mudflap Girl.

Glynna MacKenzie (She / Her)
Actor

Glynna had a busy year in 2023. She played a young person in the 1990s in Mudflap Girl and the main character’s love interest in the FLC Seniors Acting Club’s production of Georgia. She continues to have a prolific career on stage.

Gudrun Schulze Ebbinghoff (She / Her)
Actor

Gudrun has enjoyed playing on stage and screen. Her first show with Sundog will be in the Valentine’s Day showcase, The Widowmaker, where she is involved in a crime of passion.

Hanna Hess (She / Her)
Singer. Dancer, & Actor

Hanna is not new to the stage, but her acting debut was playing giggling Ginger in Sundog’s production of Frank. She is a member of Silver Stars Musical Revue, a talented group of mature performers.

Hannah Askar (She / Her)
Actor

Hannah joined Sundog’s 2023 season as an emerging artist, portraying a young woman from the 2010s in Mudflap Girl. She went on to play in the FLC Seniors Acting Club’s production of Seniors’ Brian Trust and most recently shone as the Morgan, the Station Manager in On Air.

Inesa Mahe (She / Her)
Actor

This young actor got her start playing a card in Alice in Wonderland. She and her companions pointed Alice in the right direction while trying to fool the Queen about the true colour of her roses.

Jacob will be making his stage debut with Sundog as a modern day optimist in Mudflap Girl. Jacob has had a long and storied history in the arts from floral design to performing arts.

Actor

Jasmine joined Sundog for her stage debut in Hometown in April 2025. In May she will grace the stage again as Jules in BYOB, to celebrate Mother’s Day 2025.

Jaya Mahe (She / Her)
Actor & Singer

Jaya is a multi-talented artist with a passion for performance. She performed in Alice in Wonderland on St. Patrick’s island and returned in 2024 to play Reed, a bumbling intern in a staged reading of On Air.

Jeena Aggarson (She / Her)
Actor

Inspired by the stage, Jeena loves acting and physical comedy. Her first show with Sundog was The Widowmaker in which she played Carly, an incompetent but endearing waitress. Keep an eye out for this young talent in future productions!

Jeff Gottfredsen (He / Him)
Actor

Jeff is a active member of the FLC Seniors Acting Club which engages passionate thespians over the age of 55. Jeff has played many roles including Mike in Georgia, Jasper in On Air, and a lonely spirit in the 2024 Halloween Showcase.

Jim Haycock (He / Him)
Actor & Comedian

Jim’s will be making his debut with Sundog at the February 2024 show where he will make two cameos in All the Good Ones are Taken and Till Death Do Us Part. Jim also brings his comedic stylings to the stage as a standup comedian.

After graduating from the Rosebud School of the Arts, Joel joined the cast of Sundog’s 2022 show, Frank. As a director, writer, and actor, Joel has been busy bringing his many talents to the stage since.

Joti has taken part in several of Sundog’s shows including Frank and Everybody Loves Raita. This talented artist graduated from Vancouver Film School in 2024.

Marcus Della Rosa (He / Him)
Actor

In Mudflap Girl, Marcus plays a young man whose world view has benefited from fourth wave feminism. He has been invited into the conversation and is keen to make a statement.

Mary Armstrong (She / Her)
Actor

Mary keeps herself busy in film, television and voice roles but she stepped into the spotlight to make her stage debut in Sundog’s production of Mudflap Girl. She has continued to reprise her role as the iconic character as the production travelled to High River and beyond.

MJ Batalla (They/ Them)
Actor

MJ is a voice and stage actor that is adding their presence to Mudflap Girl at the Fire & Foes Festival in February 2024. MJ will be playing an optimist reflecting on the iconic status of the Mudflap Girl character.

Mohit’s first stage performance was in Everybody Loves Raita. He has a natural talent for expression and comedic timing.

Randy played the eponymous character in Frank. He is always learning new skills and seeking new experiences on stage and screen. In 2024 he published Day to Day: The Blurry Years, his adventerous memoirs about living in Inuvik in the 1970s.

Rebekah LeDoux (She / Her)
Actor

Rebekah played Saddie in Frank and brought her skills and talents to the role of The Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. After two harrowing years in Vancouver during the pandemic, she has reestablished herself in Calgary.

Rose Bene (She / Her)

Rose coordinates the FLC Seniors’ Acting Club which aims to engage thespians 55+. She is also an active and enthusiastic participant in many of Sundog’s production inlcuding Alice, Frank, Mudflap Girl, and The Widowmaker.

Robin Russell (She / Her)
Actor

Robin’s made her stage debut in Sundog’s 2024 Halloween showcase as a woman on a quirky quest for love, who consults a psychic for guidance. She also joined the cast of Mudflap Girl and returned again to The Widowmaker. Robin’s enthusiasm and energy has been a wonderful addition to the team!

Sarah has been on stage in a variety of shows in and around Calgary. In 2022 she played the terrifying Queen of Hearts in Sundog’s adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.

Taha Akram (He/Him)
Actor

Taha has had a wide variety of roles on stage and screen. In 2023’s production of Georgia he played a convicted criminal and a man with schizophrenia, who alternately supports and antagonizes the protagonist, Leo.

Tamara Van Horne (She / Her)
Actor

Tamara is a actor, director, and producer who recently graduated from the Company of Rogues Actors Studio’s Masterclass program. She will be playing Caroline in BYOB, Sundog’s Mother’s Day show.

Tarah Buchanan (She / Her)
Comedian & Actor

Tarah is the talented comedian who opens many of our shows including The Widowmaker (February 2025) and BYOB (May 2025). In addition to entertaining people with her comedy, she manages Top Shelf Comedy Producers and adds her beautiful voice to a gospel choir.

Tom Carver (He / Him)
Actor

Tom’s range for drama and comedy can be seen in his roles as a 1970s Trucker in Mudflap Girl, The Warden in Georgia, and a Police Officer in the 2024 Halloween Showcase Tales. He has a rich acting career and is an avid member of the FLC Seniors Acting Club.

Tripti starred alongside her real-life husband, Mohit, in Everybody Loves Raita. She brought the character of Bali to life with her exceptional talent and skill.

Bishop has a passion for the performing arts! He prefers to stay behind the scenes working on design and construction. In addition to Sundog and his contribution to Chinook Blast, he is part of the Calgary Folk Music Festival every year.
